Calm Compass is an independent, non-clinical emotional support service for young people aged 11–18, operated by a psychology-trained practitioner. The service is not therapy or diagnosis, but a supportive listening space.

We may collect the following information when you use our site, book a session, or get in touch:

  • Name and contact details (email address, phone number if given)

  • Age of the young person

  • Parent/carer contact details (for under 16s)

  • Information you provide in contact forms or booking forms

  • Session preferences (video or text-based)

  • Basic notes from conversations (if sessions take place)

We do not collect or store any payment information — all payments are handled via [insert payment provider, e.g., Wix Payments or PayPal].
 

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the data you provide to:

4. Consent & Safeguarding

For anyone under the age of 16, written parent or carer consent is required before sessions can begin.

Sessions are confidential, but if there is a concern for a young person’s safety, I am required to follow safeguarding procedures. This may involve sharing relevant information with appropriate professionals (e.g., safeguarding leads, emergency contacts).
 

5. How We Store Data

Any personal data (such as contact details or session notes) is stored securely and is only accessible by Calm Compass. We take appropriate steps to protect your information from loss, misuse, or unauthorised access.

Basic notes may be kept for up to 12 months for continuity, then securely deleted.
 

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to the information we hold about you

  • Ask for your data to be corrected or deleted

  • Withdraw consent (where applicable)
